The skyline of Cape Town is defined by Table Mountain and its two sibling peaks Lion’s Head and Devil’s Peak. These mountains are constant companions for anyone living in Cape Town, and some local colleagues have even told me that they have difficulty driving in other cities due to the absence of similarly characteristic landmarks. The ride from downtown Cape Town to the rugged mountains takes barely ten minutes, and hiking them is a very popular pastime for tourists and locals alike.
